9 January 2024 – CNRS Management Meeting
9 January 2024
In early January, 100 people, including many CNRS senior managers, gathered in Paris for their annual seminar to take part in workshops on environmental transition.
Their aim was to experience a stimulating and foundational activity to help build the organisation’s environmental transformation strategy, including the SD&SR master plan — Sustainable Development & Social Responsibility — and the contract setting out objectives, resources and performance targets.
On this occasion, 5 My Earth in 180’ workshops were held. They helped to inform the plenary discussions and led to the following shared observations :

On this occasion, 5 My Earth in 180’ workshops were held. They helped to inform the plenary discussions and led to the following shared observations :
- the difficulty of making trade-offs, both collectively and individually, when transforming practices, even when fully committed to the goal of reducing the environmental footprint,
- the accelerating effect of “supported” negotiation,
- the exemplary role of the team leader helps shift the collective mindset,
- the need for dedicated time for collective intelligence, allowing the group to converge towards solutions that are fair and acceptable to everyone.
Thank you to the My Earth facilitators for contributing to this memorable event at the start of the year : Alexandre Santerne, Guillaume Piton, Brigitte Nonque, Aurélie Verney-Carron, Cynthia Hadjidakis, Céline Berni and Françoise Immel.
