Training Course on Running the My Earth in 180 Min’ Workshop

Would you like to train to become a facilitator for the My Earth in 180’ workshops ? You can still do so by registering for the training session on 28 May 2026 !

The training lasts 6 hours 30 minutes :
– Part 1 : participation in a My Earth in 180’ workshop (3 hours 30 minutes)
– Part 2 : training on the tool and workshop facilitation (3 hours)

This one-day training session will be organised preferably in person – remote option available. It is open to all members of the higher education and research community and aims to : introduce you to the workshop and how it works, immerse you in a workshop session, familiarise you with its various components, and teach you how to supervise a workshop so that you can independently facilitate the “serious game” during future sessions.

The training will take place at the Saint Martin d’Hères University Campus, at the Institute of Environmental Geosciences, and will be co-organised by Camille Jourdin & Brigitte Nonque, as well as Nicolas Champollion & Nicolas Gratiot.

An online format will be offered depending on demand.

* For those unable to attend the training due to a lack of available places, further sessions will be offered shortly, to which you will be invited.

Training objectives

– to understand the challenges of reducing greenhouse gas emissions at local and national levels and to be able to convey a message raising awareness amongst participants at the game table,
– to identify the stages of the ‘serious game’ process, from setting up a game table through to facilitating the session and presenting the results,
– to help participants produce their ‘surprise report’ and embody their characters,
– to facilitate the negotiation phases by rephrasing proposals and fostering the emergence of collective intelligence,
– to summarise the discussions and present the results during the debriefing phase in conjunction with the other game tables.

Preliminary programme

– 8.45 am – 9.00 am : welcoming participants
– 9.00 am – 12.30 pm : running the workshop
– 12.30 pm – 1.30 pm : shared lunch
– 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm : facilitation training
